Snooker: Island Construction Cup & Miller Cup

In a close fought battle Spanish Point Boat Club defeated defending champions Watford Sports Club 1 for the Island Construction Cup.

In a race to three games, first two names out of the hat were Chris Dakin and Zane DeSilva. DeSilva would give Watford Sports Club an early lead by defeating Dakin 46-40.

Next to the table were Ray DeSilva and Stephen Roberts. Roberts would tie the match for SPBC by defeating DeSilva 55-23. Karl Wilson put SPBC in the lead by winning his match against Maurice Hawkins 56-27.

Steven Bremar would keep WSC in the running by winning his game against Stewart Greenslade 61-40. With the two teams now tied 2-2 the names were redrawn and Zane DeSilva and Stephen Roberts would play the tie breaker. The two players were neck and neck until Roberts pooled the pink and then the black to win the game 57-45.

Sandys Boat Club sailed past Watford Sports Club 2 in the Miller Knock Out Trophy by winning three straight games.

First up to the table saw Peter Bromby defeated Mark Iris 65-14. Martin Siese would seal a second win for SBC winning his match against Tony DeSilva 65-23. Richard Beale would capture the trophy for SBC by defeating Aaron Bean 44-71.
