Day #6: William Way Memorial Tennis Results
The 2014 William Way Memorial Tennis Tournament continued at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium, with five more matches on Day Six.
In Men’s Senior Doubles action Earl Leader & Erwin Leader defeated Eugene Simmons & Terry Smith in straight sets 6-1, 6-0, while Andy Bray and Sam Butler defeated Charlie Boyle and Nicholas Lines in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 in their Men’s Doubles match.
David Thomas & Christopher Weeks defeated Romar Douglas & Michael Toyer in straight sets during their Men’s Doubles match 6-0, 6-4, while Jenson Bascome & Gavin Manders defeated the father and son team of Trey and Ricky Mallory 6-0, 6-3 in their Men’s Doubles match.
The Final match was a Ladies Singles match that saw Cayla Cross defeat Kirstin Saltus in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
