Enquiries Ongoing After Single Vehicle Collision
Police enquiries are ongoing into the collision in Sandys last night [May 15] which involved a car crashing into a utility pole, resulting in wires ending up across the road and power outages in the area.
A Police spokesperson said, “Enquiries are ongoing into the collision that occurred around 8:15pm Thursday, May 15th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish near Watford Bridge where a car collided with a utility pole, resulting in a fallen utility pole and downed power lines in the area.
“After colliding with the utility pole the vehicle involved apparently went over an embankment ending up on its roof, causing damage to the top as well as the front of the car. The driver, a 54 year old Pembroke woman, was not seriously injured.
“Any witnesses to this collision are encouraged to contact PC Sean Simons at Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.”
