Photos/Results: YAO Youth Baseball Playoffs
The Y.A.O. Baseball Bermuda season ended on Sunday [June 22] with the Orioles defeating the Yankees 16-15 in the the championship game. Liam McCue got the start for the Orioles and Jack Martin for the Yankees.
Teams battled back and forth the entire game, and it was a complete team effort by both sides. The Orioles were down 15-9 going into the bottom of the 5th. The Orioles rallied for 7 runs, led by key hits by Connor Somerville and Darion Davies. Yankees went down in order in the top of the 6th crowning the Orioles as League Champions. The Cubs and the Phillies met up in a consolation game [photos below] earlier in the afternoon.
