Care@Home Reveals Its 2014 Care Giveaway

July 22, 2014

Care@Home Services has revealed its second annual Care Giveaway, set to take place on December 8, 2014. Care@Home is a bespoke nanny placement and domestic staffing firm servicing more than 100 client families locally.

A spokesperson said, “Inspired by the number of items that Managing Director Barbara Williams had available to give away after completing a seasonal clean up last fall, she approached Care clients with the idea of a modern day Robin Hood programme.

“The response was overwhelming, and the company collected truckloads of clothing and supplies for young children and simply gave it all away to families in need.”

“More than 400 families were impacted. Families received clothing, shoes, toys, and books. More than 30 sponsors donated cases of water, baby food, formula, and gas vouchers.”

“I was truly overwhelmed by the response of our clients and the community at large,” said Williams. “We had hundreds lined up on a chilly December morning that we were able to help.

“This year, we expect an even greater turnout. Despite evidence that the economy is improving, shortages remain a reality for far too many young families. This is simply our effort to share our blessings.”

“Donors and sponsors interested in participating are invited to contact Care Coordinator Patrice Muhammad at 295-2273 or via email at rsvpcare@evolution.bm. Care will conduct a first round of collections during the month of August, accepting clean clothes, working toys, and other supplies relevant to a young family. Monthly updates will be posted to our website.”
