Powerboat Racing At Ferry Reach Ends Early
The Bermuda Powerboat Association’s last race day prior to the Around The Island Race was cut short on Sunday [July 27] due to a crash.
Racing got underway at Ferry Reach with David Selley racing A72, Cleveland Maybury in A90, Ryan Resendes and Zian Philpott raced B17, while Jody and Tony Carreiro were in B77 and, Steven Eversley and Brandon Franks powered D187.
The boats went out, however only Jody and Tony Carreiro, Cleveland Maybury and David Selley completed one lap before Ryan Resendes and Zian Philpott flipped their B17 boat. Following the incident, racing was ended for the day.
