Weekend Top Batting & Bowling Performers
The Eastern Junior, Western and Central County Cup Competitions and the Bermuda Cricket Board’s Premier and First Division matches this past weekend saw a total of ten matches played.
Chris Douglas from Willow Cuts finished in the top spot in the batting department with 111 runs. Douglas’ runs came during his team’s Premier Division loss to Bailey’s Bay, he was at the wicket for 155 minutes, facing 108 balls, hitting 8 fours and 5 sixes in his inning. Steven Bremar was the next top scorer with a knock of 100 not out for Devonshire Recreation Club against Somerset Bridge and Jacobi Robinson from the Somerset Cricket Club scored 73 against the St. David’s Cricket Club.
In the bowling department, with figures of 4.5-2-11-5, from Flatt’s Victoria led the charge against the Bermuda Under 17 National team in their First Division Match, while Derrick Brangman from the Southampton Rangers had the second best bowling figures of 9.2-2-23-5 against the St. George’s Cricket Club and Jacal Minors’ 7.0-0-29-5 for Bailey’s Bay against the Somerset Cricket Club was the third best figures.
