Dickinson & Young Win International Comet Title
The Kings of the Comets battle between Stephen Dickinson and Rudy Bailey resumed during the 2014 Comet International Championship, which was hosted at The Ocean Gate Yacht Club in New Jersey.
Bailey, who has been absent on the local waters, won the 2013 event and was back to defend his title, but his Bermuda rival Stephen Dickinson decided to put in a challenge.
Dickinson and his crew Pat Young finished with 5 points after 5 races, Dickinson finished the first race in 2nd place, he sailed to a 2nd place finish in the second race. Dickinson then sailed to victory in races three, four and five.
Bailey and his crew Domonique Neubelt finished second with 8 points. Bailey recorded finishes of 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd. Third place went to Talbott Ingram and his crew Lee Ingram who had 11 points.
Bermuda was also represented by Rockal Evans and his crew Christina Bernard, as well as Dale Brangman and his crew Michori Parfitt-Jones.
