So you can ‘close’ a public beach? smh
Call it the OBA way.
Close a public beach for a private event?! I hardly think that’s possible, lawful or sensible. But that hasn’t stopped the present government before. Watch out, Bermudians. Soon this whole island will be ‘closed for a private event.’
You are ridiculous and your reasoning makes no sense.
Yup, its possible to rent public parks like Ft. Hamilton and other venues for weddings or events. Not sure how closing one tiny section of one of Bermuda’s numerous beaches is so inconvenient or controversial.
The public wants the governement to generate more income so we can all be better off – this is one tiny way to do that.
Poor decision Department of Parks. Hope this the only time this beach will be off limits.
Some of you really need to get out into the world a little. Have you never been to a state park or National park that has facilities, natural or manmade, that can be rented out?
This small portion of Horseshoe Bay is being rented out. It is being rented out at a time when very few people go there anyway.
What is the problem?
Parks ain’t gonna be there for questions. They’re gonna be there for the partyyyyyyyyyy.
Shameful
i dont know what the pee l pee are crying about. Most of bermuda’s parks are closed for events all the time.
Its like the parks department guys all have keys for every gate in every park right? Always cars and bikes on the grass with the gates open and bermudians having personal events whenever they feel like it@!
This was mostly like for the filming of the X Factor. Hopefully a tourism benefit !
