Premier, First Division Weekend Cricket Results

St. George’s Cricket Club, St. David’s Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers and Devonshire Recreation Club all recorded wins this weekend in the Bermuda Cricket Board’s First and Premier Division action.

Premier Division

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 38 Runs : St. George’s Cricket Club 182 Somerset Cricket Club 144

Somerset Cricket Club paid the price for heading East with only 9 men, standing captain Jordan DeSilva won the toss and elected to send St. George’s Cricket Club to bat, they were bowled all out for 182, Christian Burgess was the top scorer with 69, Dennico Hollis was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 5-0-17-2 and Greg Maybury bowled 7-3-19-2.

In reply the Somerset Cricket Club were bowled all out for 144, Kwasi James was the top scorer with 43, while Ronald Gibbons led the St. George’s Cricket Club bowling attack with figures of 6-2-22-3 and Makai Young had figures of 1.4-0-6-2.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 3 Wickets : Willow Cuts 197 St. David’s Cricket Club 198/7

At the Somerset Cricket Club, St. David’s Cricket Club won the toss and sent Willow Cuts to bat, Sheroy Fubler was the top scorer with 40, while Malachi Jones added 39, George O’Brien Jr. who started the game behind the stumps and put down a difficult diving catch to his right off former St. David’s Cricket Club teammate Chris Foggo when he was 1, was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 9.5-1-25-3.

In reply St. David’s Cricket Club scored 198/7, Fiqre Crockwell was the top scorer with 47, while Loren Marshall added 46 not out. Kevon Fubler was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers with figures of 10-0-35-3.

Southampton Rangers Win by 8 Wickets : Cleveland County 129 Southampton Rangers 134/2

At the Southampton Oval, the home team won the toss and send visiting Cleveland County to bat, they were bowled all out for 129, Allan Douglas Jr. was the top scorer with 59, while Steven Douglas added 32. Dion Stovell was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 2.1-0-10-3, while Ryan Belboda bowled 9-2-38-3.

In reply the Southampton Rangers scored 134/2, James Celestine was the top scorer with 66 not out, his runs came off 36 ball, he hit 6 sixes and 6 fours in his inning, while Ian Armstrong chipped in with 32 and Derrick Brangman scored 26. Allan Douglas Jr. was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers with figures of 3.3-0-25-1.

First Division

Devonshire Recreation Club Win by 48 Runs : Devonshire Recreation Club 178 PHC 130

At the Devonshire Rec. the home team batted first and were bowled all out for 178, Stephen Bremar was the top scorer with 42, while Paul Carr-Harvey added 30. Cory Burgess was the pick of the PHC bowlers with figures of 1-0-5-2, Charles Trott bowled 10-1-34-2.

In reply PHC were bowled all out for 130, Dean Richards was the top scorer with 27, while Ellsworth Bean added 24. Shaun DeGraff was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 10-1-26-4, while Keshun Smith bowled 4.4-1-22-2.
