Mrs. Kimberley Jackson of Mirrors, who also serves as the Business Officer of Mirrors Alumni & Friends Association stated, “The event was a successful social event for youth and adults. It’s about creating an environment where we can grow relationships between the two and demonstrate positive prosocial activities. Participants had a good time before getting ready to return to school.

“This year we thought it would be a great opportunity to support the students with school supplies. I talked with participants and spectators and they thoroughly enjoyed the event and they look forward to participating next year.”

A member of the Dude & Dudette team expressed how pleased his team was to have a young person from the community bowl with them as he stated, “It was a pleasure getting to know this young lady; we had a wonderful time, thank you.”

Mrs. Ruth Moran, Coordinator of the Bowling Tournament stated “The Bowling Tournament is a result of the Participants and Committed Partners of Cohort 8 choosing to create this event as their community project and raise funds for charities last year. Our Board decided to make this an annual event.”

Denise Wilson-Adams, Chair of the Board stated, “The Mirrors Alumni & Friends Association is non-profit service organization of former Mirrors participants and friends giving back to their community who choose to contribute to the positive development of youth and others. The Alumni is committed to fostering relationships between former Mirrors participants and others.

“As a registered charity it would not be possible to achieve its purpose without the hard work, dedication and commitment of its Board of Directors and Committee Members. To this end, we would like to thank our lead sponsor and the bowling tournament committee for all of their hard work in ensuring this event was a successful one.

“We would also like to thank our community for their continued support and participation. We truly appreciate you.”
