Football Match Postponed Due To Funeral

The Bermuda Football Association said that the Premier Division match between PHC and Southampton Rangers scheduled for Sunday [Sept 21] has been postponed due to the funeral of Shijuan Mungal, who was a member of PHC.

The match has been rescheduled for Monday, September 22nd at 8:00pm at the Devonshire Recreation Club.

The 16 year old student died following an altercation in Warwick on 8th September 2014, and a 31 year old woman has been charged with his murder.

Premier and Minister of National Security Michael Dunkley extended his “deepest and sincerest condolences” to the family of Shijuan Mungal, saying that this was an “unimaginably tragic incident, which has left a community, several families and countless young people in a state of mourning and disbelief”.
