St Paul AME Church: 144th Anniversary
‘The Cathedral of African Methodism in Bermuda’ marks 144 years with a unique opportunity available to all Praise Teams, worship leaders, choir members, musicians and anyone interested in growing in praise and worship ministry, in the form of a “Fall into Worship” Music Workshop facilitated by the internationally renowned music ministry team from Greater Allen Cathedral AME Church in New York.
Facilitators include Stanley Brown, Melanie Daniels-Walker, William Gamble and William Richardson.
Starting on Thursday 25th September and Friday 26th September, both days at 12:30pm, the team will lead workshops for vocalists and musicians.
Building on the lunch hour sessions, at 7.30pm on Thursday and Friday evenings vocalists and musicians will join in rehearsal for a special concert to be held in the sanctuary on Saturday. 27th September at 7.30pm.
The Anniversary weekend of activities culminates in a worship experience on Sunday, 28th September starting at 10:55am. In the spirit of community St. Paul will salute the Butterfield Family for modeling good corporate citizenship through their generous donation to and support of the North Village Community Club Education Centre and their many years of charitable support to Bermuda.
The Executive, members and friends of North Village will also be in attendance as we recognize the Club’s commitment to empowering young people through education and sport.
The theme for this anniversary is “Becoming, Living Stones” [Josh. 4:1-7 ; 1Peter 2:4-5] and will feature the preached word from Rev. Howard H.L. Dill, pastor of Allen Temple AME Church, Somerset.
