Tyrone Smith Finishes 6th In Rovereto, Italy
Bermuda’s Tyrone Smith competed in the 50th Palio Citta della Quercia in Rovereto, Italy, finishing 6th overall.
Smith finished with a top leap of 7.75m, with Mauro Da Silva from Brazil winning with a top leap of 8.08m, Christopher Tomlinson from Great Britain was second with a leap of 7.95m and Salim Sdiri from France finished third leaping 7.87m.
The two-time Olympian recorded a leap of 6.00m on his first attempt, he then fouled on his second attempt, Smith leaped the 7.75m on his third attempt, before leaping 7.74m on his fourth attempt. Smith closed out with two fouls on his fifth and sixth attempts.
