Video: Harvey Scores Hat-Trick In DePaul Win
Bermuda’s Jalen Harvey made an outstanding showing yesterday [Sept 17] for his University team, scoring three goals in only 18 minutes to lead DePaul to a 3-2 comeback win over Drake.
DePaul was down 2-0 when Harvey began his run of three goals with a header in the 80th minute, and then scored his 2nd in the 87th minute to push the game into overtime. He then completed the hat-trick in the 98th minute to lead his team to victory.
“I was ticked off that I didn’t start like a lot of other guys would’ve been,” the school’s website quotes Harvey as saying. “Once I got my chance, I wanted to prove a point. Down two-nil, what better way to prove a point.
“The most I ever scored in college was two goals in a season. But this isn’t just about scoring. It’s more about the team staying together, coming back and getting the win.”
