Waterspouts Seen Off The East End Today
Waterspouts were seen in the east end earlier today [Sept 29], with a reader mailing in a photo saying that she say numerous waterspouts off St. David’s.
The Bermuda Weather Service confirmed via social media that there were waterspouts off the east end today, and their forecast for today said, “Low pressure centered to the west of Bermuda will slowly move to our northwest with a continuation of showers and possible thunder tonight.
“Strong winds will occur at times in and around precipitation. Subtropical development of this low is unlikely tonight due to unfavorable upper-level winds, but it will still remain under close watch.”
