Photos: CedarBridge Grub Day Raises $1,300
The staff and students at CedarBridge Academy held a Breast Cancer Awareness Grub Day last week, which saw over $1,300 raised for the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
Students were encouraged to wear pink or include some aspect of pink in their attire for the “Grub Day,” which was organised by the Think Pink Committee, which includes Elicia Albouy, Roshanda Caines, Everton Dawes, Rhonda Edwards-Adams, Cynthia Hassell, Robin Mason, Angelita Outerbridge, Duval Robinson, Winifred Simmons, Karen Simons, Cherie Simons, Tracey Trott, Sandra Yearwood and Sharon Young.
According to a proclamation read out last week by the Health Minister, 69 cases of diagnosed breast cancer were reported in 2013, and breast cancer continues to be the principal cause of cancer for women in Bermuda.
