Police To Hold Vision Awards Ceremony On Wed
The Bermuda Police Service will be holding the Commissioner’s Vision Awards ceremony at 6pm Wednesday, November 19th in the Berkeley Institute cafetorium.
A police spokesperson said, “This inaugural ceremony, sponsored by Bermuda Cablevision, was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 11th during the Police Tattoo.
“However, an alternate date was identified after the Tattoo was unavoidably cancelled due to the aftermath of Tropical Storm Fay.
“The 150 invited student awardees should wear their school uniforms and medals to Wednesday evening’s event. We are also encouraging the students’ families to attend the ceremony.
“Remarks will be given by the Commissioner of Police Mr. Michael DeSilva and the CEO of Bermuda Cablevision Mr. Terry Roberson to officially recognize the awardees’ achievement.
“If you are the parent or guardian of a Commissioner’s Vision awardee and have any further questions, please contact the Public & Media Relations office on telephone number 247-1776 or via e-mail pmr@bps.bm.”
