SMASH League Continues With Week Two
Week two of the SMASH Commercial Table Tennis League saw four matches played and another won by default, with Smash n’ Dash beating the Ball Breakers 5-1, I Thought This Was Beer Pong beating Happy Valley Dental 5-4, the Itsy Bitsy Smashers beating Smash n’ Balls 5-4, and the Smooth Ball Strokers [formerly KPMG] beating Dynamite 5-4, while T.B.A. beat Security Associates Ltd by default.
A spokesperson said, “SMASH Table Tennis Rec Center Facility Manager Brotha Richie is happy to report in the second week of the season that he was able to strike a deal with Flanagan’s Outback Sports Bar for a 10 discount discount for SMASH Membership Card holders, and thanks General Manager of Flanagan’s Chris Garland for choosing to network with Bermuda’s newest sporting facility to help establish a membership perks program.”
“Brotha Richie is hoping to partner with other businesses to provide further perks for SMASH Members as well. He hopes to secure a discount deal with a local sporting goods store in the next week or so.
“In other SMASH news, letters of invitation have been emailed to local martial arts schools for them to enter a team into the SMASH Martial Arts School Ping Pong Challenge, scheduled to take place on January 31, 2015 at 2.00pm. Each school can enter 3 – 5 players from their school to represent them in a Round Robin Singles format table tennis tournament.”
“This is part of SMASH’s plan to reach out to different entities on the island to host special themed tournaments. Brotha Richie hopes to bring the martial arts community together to compete in a different way, in a fun, family friendly, yet equally competitive environment, that SMASH has become known for since opening.
