Video: Island Showcased To America’s Cup Fans
A video showcasing Bermuda is helping to introduce potential visitors to the island ahead of the 2017 America’s Cup.
The video, co-produced by LookBermuda | LookFilms and Shooter & Scribe Productions for the Bermuda Tourism Authority, features stock footage from the LookBermuda film archive, narration by Glenn Jones, music by Felix Tod, and digital renderings by Onsite Engineering.
The video’s narrator says, “Bermuda is both honoured and proud to host the 35th America’s Cup in 2017. Being the home of the America’s Cup is an extraordinary opportunity that aligns perfectly with the heritage, profile, spirit, and future of our island.”
“Fans and participants alike will love it here. Our Great Sound just might be the best sailing venue on the planet, mixing a steady ocean breeze with protected waters that are flat and fast. It’s as if the America’s Cup catamarans and Bermuda were pre-destined to converge at this point in history.
“The America’s Cup in Bermuda marks a new chapter for both the event and the venue.”
Proud to be Bermudian…..!
Very nice showcase teaser. Well done BTA!
BTA, Is this on YouTube? I just looked at your channel and didn’t notice it. Get it up there fast. I suggest you share video first from YouTube. It has the online video market and the viewing stats.
Ride
it’s already been widely circulated on FB. Where it’s ultimately hosted makes very little difference as people seldom stumble upon these sorts of things on the sites themselves.
Uploading it to YT as well would dilute the organic reach. Would make sense a little later on after the initial hype has died down, but not right now.
I would have to totally disagree. When someone is going to search on YT “americas cup” or “americas cup bermuda” this video needs to show up. So yes this needs to be uploaded to youtube and added with the appropriate tags so that this can reach as many people as possible. No?!
Nice video. Love the shot of the AC boats in the Great Sound.
Great footage. Well done!
How accurate are the claims in this video?
Don’t feed it and it will go away!
This is a public service announcement.
I like the theme and the photos, but not the voice. Who wrote this? using charm over and over doesn’t sound very sophisticated to me. I’m sure we can think of more adjectives. Breathe taking, colour enhancing, pastel cottages and houses all spring to mind.
