Basketball: Fly Girls, Cross Fire, Hoop Stars Win
The CellOne Island Basketball League continued inside the CedarBridge Academy Gymnasium with a triple-header that produced a total of 262 points.
In the singles women’s game, the Fly Girls defeated the Lady Hawks 35 – 20. Di Trew scored a game high 14 points for the Fly Girls, while Laura Husbands scored 8 points for the Lady Hawks.
In the Men’s opener the Cross Fire Ballers defeated Sky Force 55 – 48. Dean Jones scored a game high 23 points for the Cross Fire Ballers, while Marcus Robinson scored 16 points for Sky Force.
Johnny Lugo scored a game high 16 points to lead the Hoop Stars to a 58 – 46 win over the Twisters, Gikai Clarke scored 12 points for the Twisters.
