With the end of the year upon us, take a look back at our 20 most watched videos of 2014, which include footage of Hurricanes Fay and Gonzalo, the rescue of a man attempting to travel to Bermuda in a bubble, the St. Baldrick’s event at Saltus, and more.
According to our YouTube statistics, Bernews videos garnered over one million views this year, and were viewed for a total of 1,945,647 minutes, which equals almost four years of total viewing time.
Outside of videos related to crime and collisions, the most watched new video in 2014 was footage from the U.S Coast Guard of them rescuing a man who attempted to travel to Bermuda in a sea-going bubble, garnering more than 24,000 views.
The second most popular video, earning nearly 23,000 views, was footage of St. George’s during Hurricane Gonzalo, while another storm video detailing Hurricane Gonzalo’s approach towards the island, was viewed more than 19,000 times, giving it third place.
The storm trend continued, with footage of Hurricane Gonzalo and Hurricane Fay claiming the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

For the aviation enthusiast, this video of the L1011 Tristar was the swan song of this tanker operating for the Royal Air Force. They have been retired from the RAF fleet of tankers.
