BEDC To Host Senior Care Matters Seminar
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] will host a seminar for existing and new entrepreneurs interested in starting a Senior Care Facility on Thursday, January 29th 2015 entitled Senior Care Matters.
The seminar will be held at the Bermuda Industrial Union from 8:00am – 11:30am and will focus on starting and operating a successful senior care facility and how to identify the right facility.
The first half of the seminar will focus on identifying the opportunities that exist in the Health Care industry highlighting how entrepreneurs may be able to capitalise on them. Presenters will include representatives, The Department of Statistics, and the National Office of Seniors.
During the second half of the seminar representatives from, Environmental Health, the National Office of Seniors and Entrepreneurs in the industry will provide information on other opportunities that exist in the industry as well as the rules and regulations associated with establishing and running a safe and successful senior care facility.

The BEDC is aware of the importance of helping people identify a job/career in the senior care services industry because this service is becoming more of a necessity as the majority of our population ages.

We are looking forward to helping potential and existing providers understand how to start and operate a care facility correctly. We are confident that the line up of presenters will accomplish this, imparting a holistic view of what is required to start and operate a successful senior care facility.”
