Bermuda Back In #1 Position In Best Beach Poll

January 25, 2015

[Updated] After originally leading in the online poll by USA Today which asks readers to vote for the best Caribbean beach, Bermuda’s Horseshoe Bay Beach has now slipped to second place, with Crane Beach in Barbados now ranked ahead of us.

The poll — which allows readers to vote once per day —  is not due to close until February 2 at 12.00pm, so Bermuda is still in the running for the top spot.

Good stuff BDA… I still think the beach down Cooper island in St Davids is the best hands down!!!

  2. Micro says:

    Horseshoe is woefully over rated.

    • Varied says:

Myabe next time, word of mouth will get the less heralded beaches in the running for the title.

  3. Terry says:

    I agree Young Observer; but.
This is all about where people flock and have amenities.

Horseshoe Bay is nice. Too crowded.
Lots of things come into play here.

Up west they are bussed and mini vanned to a spot.

Down east few get off a plane and are trucked up west.
    See?

Actually you can vote more than once a day. And if you have different browsers you can vote in each.

    • Terry says:

      What’s the point.

Whoever falls asleep on a certain day contributes to fail.?
      Shalom.

  5. 3rdeye says:

I was thinking the same thing @Mockingjay. If we’re not considered as part of Carribean, will we accept the accolades?

    • Varied says:

Why not? It’s a fan poll of sorts. If it was a “Best in North America” poll, same thing. Hell if it was a “Best in the Pacific” poll and Bermuda beaches were erroneously in the list, same freaking thing.

Transport needs to be looked at seriously. … because it effects the enrire mood of thw day once yoy just spent 1 hr of standing in lines to purchase tickets and waiting for your trans to actually come

  7. BermudaGirl says:

There are SO many prettier beaches than Horseshoe Bay! SO over-rated! I go to others that I won’t mention because I’d like to KEEP them nice!
