Man Charged With Importing $268K Of Cannabis
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Jan 30], a 25-year-old man was charged with importing over $260,000 worth of cannabis.
Zicco Pearman — – who the court heard was employed as an airport security guard – was not required to enter a plea to the charge of importing and possessing cannabis at L F Wade airport in July 2014 as the charges were deemed to be indictable and can only be tried in the Supreme Court.
Prosecutor Susan Mulligan told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that the amount was alleged to have a street value of $268,000.
Mr Pearman was granted $25,000 bail with one surety, required to surrender his travel documents, and report to Hamilton Police Station. He returns to Court next month.
