Man Denies Stealing $86,000 Of Jewellery

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Mar 9], a 28-year-old man denied stealing over $86,000 worth of jewellery from a Hamilton store, with the Court hearing this allegedly happened after Hurricane Fay struck the island last year.

Kyle Smith pleaded not guilty to unlawfully trespassing at ER Aubreys on Queen Street and stealing just over $86,000 worth of jewellery on 12th October 2014.

Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe set trial for June, set bail at $10,000 with one surety, and required the accused to report to the Police Station three times a week.
