Court: Pair Plead Not Guilty To Drugs Charges
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Mar 11], Latoya Brown-Hayward, 32, and Sabian Hayward, 31, pleaded not guilty to drug charges.
They each pleaded not guilty to possessing cannabis with intent to supply, cocaine, and a digital scale fitted for use with illegal drugs.
Deputy DPP Cindy Clarke told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that the cannabis was alleged to weigh around 138 grams with a street value of $13,900; and the cocaine was alleged to weigh around 36 grams with a street value of $11,300.
These alleged offences were all alleged to have occurred in August 2014.
The pair were granted bail of $15,000 each with each required to find a surety. Each must also surrender their travel documents and report to Hamilton Police Station on Mondays and Fridays.
They return for Mention later this month.
