[Updated with video] The City of Hamilton recently hosted the fourth annual City Food Festival from March 16 to 21, with local chefs competing in a canapé competition, which was followed by a wine tasting and street festival.
The Chef Competition kicked off the week of events with two preliminary rounds taking place on March 16 and 18 at Bermuda Gas. All Chefs prepared three distinctly different canapés from a box of ingredients provided 48 hours in advance.

A winner from each night was selected to advance to the finals, which took place at the Street Festival on March 22.
Following the chef’s competition, the Goslings Wine Tasting took place on March 20 at the Gosling’s Wine Cellar, with the $100 tickets including a four piece Riedel stemware set.
The event then moved to the City Hall Car Park on March 22 following a postponement, where the street festival took place, featuring almost two dozen restaurants, caterers, and food related companies.
