PATI Info Session To Inform Public On New Act

Bermuda’s Public Access to Information [PATI] Act  is scheduled to come into effect on April 1, 2015, and Gitanjali S. Gutierrez has been appointed as Bermuda’s first Information Commissioner.

“In an effort to better inform the public about their rights under the PATI Act and the role of the Information Commissioner’s Office [ICO], an upcoming information session will aim to launch public discussion,” a spokesperson said.

Called a “public programme introducing the role of the Information Commissioner’s Office and providing initial education about the public’s rights under the Public Access to Information Act 2010, “the event will take place on March 16th from 4.00pm through 5.00pm, repeating at 5.30pm through 6.30pm, at Passenger Terminal, Pier 6, lead by Information Commissioner for Bermuda Gitanjali S. Gutierrez.

    All concerned about a jet ride and yet millions upon millions going missing through *overruns* under the PLP doesn’t seem to bother you. The big show the PLP put on about PATI, but it never got enacted by them. One doesn’t even need to guess why.
