26 Year Old Man Admits Stealing Cell Phone
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Apr 16], a 26-year-old man admitted stealing a cell phone from the mother of his child.
Michael Wears initially pleaded not guilty then changed his plea to guilty, and admitted stealing a cellphone said to be worth $300 from a woman, who is the mother of his young child in February 2015.
Mr Wears told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that the matter had arisen out of a domestic dispute, questioned the stated value of the cellphone, and said that he prepared to reimburse the value.
The Magistrate set sentencing for 23rd April and required the Crown Prosecutor to ascertain the true value of the cellphone and to inform him of that value on 23rd April.
