Ferry Runs Canceled Apr 9 Due To Maintenance
Maintenance requirements will cause two morning ferry departures to be canceled tomorrow [Apr 9], according to the Department of Marine and Ports.
A government spokesperson said, “The Department of Marine and Ports would like to advise the public that due to maintenance requirements the following ferries have been cancelled for tomorrow morning, April 9th.
- The 7.10am departure from Hamilton to Dockyard
- The 7.55am departure from Rockaway
“The management team at Marine and Ports apologizes for this inconveniences.”
They have to pick a week day to do maintenance and cancel ferry runs?? Why not organize it so the “public” are NOT inconvenienced?? They are who pay your wages!!
Only in BDA would this occur – or a 3rd world country!!
If the ferries had been maintained properly since they were originally purchased there wouldn’t be any need to take them out of service in the first place.
Bus cancellation because of sick leave, Ferry cancellations because of maintenance issues….and the busy summer season is right around the corner. Does anyone else smell a plan for organized disruption?
What I cannot fathom is just as they decided to increase public transport fees, now we receive worse service? This is not acceptable! I say privatise. Its high time.
Yes and all the TAXES we pay the Goverment is still borrowing except for sundays and holidays $1Million Dollars a day to keep these Bloodsuckers paid.
Time to PRIVITIZE as there is not One Island in the Carabbean that has Goverment Ferrys or Goverment BUSSES
Seems as though the Joe public wish for privatization. Ok- let’s get on with it with the ‘fat cats’ who do not need to or use the buses or the ferries, financing the purchase from Government and thereafter manage the operation.
If they keep this all summer in front of tourists, it will kill what little good will Bermuda has left.
We are a shadow of the once great Bermuda, but blood sucking Government workers will kill this island completely if they keep on acting like this.
Welcome to poverty and the third world. Don’t laugh – we are almost there. On the cliff, and it is crumbling faster than Grand Atlantic.
Get it together . We actually started going over the cliff in November 1998 .
And anyone who thinks it was 2006 -> is deluded .
