Rockaway Ferry Stop Temporarily Closed

[Updated] The Department of Marine and Ports is advising the public that “the Rockaway ferry stop is closed effective immediately due to a default with the ramp.”

A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Marine and Port Services has advised that the Rockaway ferry stop is closed effective immediately due to a default with the ramp. The Department of Works and Engineering has been notified to determine the necessary repairs.

“The Department of Marine and Port Services apologises to commuters for the inconvenience.”

Update 6.09pm: A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Marine and Port Services has advised that the Rockaway Ferry has reopened and resumed services as of 5:20 pm this evening.

“The Department of Marine and Port Services apologises to commuters for any inconvenience during the temporary closure.”
