Temporary Suspension Of Orange Route Ferry

The Orange Route Ferry service is suspended until further notice due to a “mechanical issue with the bow loading ramp at Hunter’s Wharf.”

A Government spokesperson said, “As of today, Monday, 28 August 2023, the Orange Route Ferry [St. George's] is temporarily suspended until further notice. The suspension results from a mechanical issue with the bow loading ramp at Hunter’s Wharf. The team at Works & Engineering are working on the repairs.

“The Department of Marine & Ports Services sincerely apologises for any inconvenience this service interruption may cause. We appreciate your patience during this period and will provide updates on the progress of the repairs and the return of the Orange Route service.”
