Court: 27-Year-Old Man Charged With Wounding
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Apr 14], a 27-year-old man received bail in the amount of $10,000 after he was charged with wounding another man last month.
Shirwin Smith was charged with the indictable offence of unlawfully wounding another man on 29th March 2015, with the Court hearing he allegedly stabbed the other man.
Because the charge is indictable, Mr Smith was not required to enter a plea as the case can only be dealt with in the Supreme Court.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo set bail at $10,000, required a surety, ordered that Mr Smith must wear an electronic monitoring device, and must have no contact with the complainant.
Mr Smith must reappear for Mention in May 2015.
