Man Denies Assault, Using Threatening Words
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Apr 7], a 46-year-old man denied assaulting another man and uttering threatening words.
Antoine Darrell pleaded not guilty to unlawfully assaulting another man and causing him bodily harm in April 2015.
Mr Darrell also plead not guilty to uttering threatening words to the same man, with the charge alleging that Mr Darrell told the man: “I’m going to kill you.” This alleged statement was alleged to have been made inside the Hamilton Police Station.
Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe set trial for June 2015, set bail at $1,500 and required Mr Darrell to have no contact with the complainant or any witnesses.
