April 17, 2015

Mount Saint Agnes Academy joined with other schools around the island in holding their own Mini Ag Show today [Apr 17], with students coming together to provide the showcase a wide variety of exhibits including cakes, cookies, art, kites, flower displays, animals and more.

Students were encouraged to wear house colours with a $2 contribution to Open Airways, with all students being given the opportunity to visit the displays.

The day included a hot dog and macaroni & cheese lunch, followed by an afternoon of activities. First up was a talent show and K9 exhibit, with a bouncy castle, temporary tattoos, face painting, popcorn, and dunking stool on hand for entertainment.

A bake sale was also held, followed by team races in the gym, with the Ag Show displays available throughout the afternoon in the auditorium.

Necessity is the mother of invention…so they say…these kids showed such creativity and maybe that’s what we need to do. The Gov is trying to balance the budget so we can go forward out of debt some day soon. Then we can bring some things back that the Gov can find funds for. In the meantime how about we all support them and we will all benefit. Just a thought.
