BTA Sponsoring Events In The United Kingdom

May 1, 2015

On Sunday, a free Bermuda Day celebration will be held at Liverpool’s Camp & Furnace in the United Kingdom, where visitors can experience a taste of island life with a range of activities and entertainment for the whole family.

An annual event has been held in London for the last seven years, organized by SpredLuv and CKC Corporation – a group of Bermudians now living in the UK keen to share the island’s unique culture and cuisine.

Now, for the first time the Bermuda Day celebration, supported by the Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA], will be extended to the North West of England.

The event will offer live music, DJs, traditional food and cocktails from the island, providing visitors the chance to whet their appetites for a potential trip to Bermuda. In addition, there is a special programme of activities for children with ping pong tournaments, scavenger hunts and colouring competitions, all with a Bermudian twist.

In addition, in recognition of its sailing heritage and to celebrate being the home of the 35th America’s Cup in 2017, the BTA has announced that it will sponsor this year’s Travelmole sailing regatta.

The trade networking regatta sailing day will take place on July 9, 2015, and involves ten sailing yachts competing in five races around the Solent in an attempt to win the ‘Travel Industry Yacht Regatta’.

Victoria Isley, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for the BTA, said, “Bermuda is thrilled to support UK travel trade partners through such a great event. Sailing experiences increase team spirit, inspire leadership and build trust — those are important elements in the travel industry as well as life.

“To highlight the beautiful waters of Bermuda as home of the 35th America’s Cup is just fantastic!”

I’m a Bermudian living in the North of England and can’t find ANY details of this anywhere, including the venue’s website! Please provide us Onions, that would love to attend, with further details.
