CADA Celebrates ‘Life Skills Program’ Students

May 15, 2015

CADA celebrated 67 Somersfield and Bermuda High School students for completing the Life Skills Program, along with partners DNDC and PRIDE, as well as Junior Minister Nandi Outerbridge and Shadow Minister Michael Weeks, who handed out certificates to the students.

CADA spokesperson Anthony Santucci said, “Life Skills Training [LST] is a research-validated substance abuse prevention program, proven to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors that promote the initiation of substance use and other risky behaviors.

“This comprehensive and exciting program provides adolescents and young teens with the confidence and skills necessary to successfully handle challenging situations.”

The only way to deter young people from, “bad influences” is to get their attention and teach them at a young age the ramification of “substance abuse.”
Thanks to everyone that has /will devote time in helping our youngster learn right from wrong and good from bad…
