Crowds Starting To Line Streets For Bermuda Day
Crowds are starting to line the streets in advance of tomorrow’s [May 25] Bermuda Day festivities, with some of the popular viewing spots such as Cedar Avenue starting to buzz with preparations for tomorrow’s events.
Some people had, as always, marked their spots along the race and parade routes days in advance, with the use of spray paint causing a number of reactions on our story about the markers being removed.
The Sinclair Packwood Memorial Cycle Race is set to start at 8:50am, the Bermuda Day Half Marathon will start at 9am and the Heritage Day parade starts at 1:30pm.
The parade is set to include dozens of groups including the Bermuda Longriders Motorcycle Club, St. John Ambulance, Bermuda Regiment, Miss Bermuda Lillian Lightbourn, Somerset Brigade Band, Miss Hospitality Cami Bean-Caines, Little Miss Paradise Sedona-Sky Kathleen Duffy, Olde Towne Bicycle Rentals, Bermuda Rifle & Drill Team, Aerie’s Adventures Nursery and Preschool Float, The Berkeley Institute Marching Band, Anointed Steps Dance Ministry School, Party Zone, The Ex-Artillery Elite Majorettes, Bermuda Squad Entertainers, Danji Productions Band, Dynamic Revolution Dance Crew, Up With People, Gombey Warriors, United Dance Productions, Boundary Breakers, Global Link Dance Group, Bermuda Donquili African Dance, Fusion Fitness, Sui Generis Dance Team, For God’s Purpose Bermuda Liturgical Dancers, Rated ‘E’ Dance Group, Places New Generation Gombeys, Big Papa’s Surprise Improv Group, PHC Majorettes and Drum Corp, Calypso Queen Eileen and Dancers, Touch D Deck Band, The Motivated Old School Dancers, Ikaz Dance Group, H and H Gombeys, St George’s Original Dancerettes, Gombey Evolution, Chewstick Foundation, Bermuda Carnival Revelers and Passion Bermuda.

Oh NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Steedes /Steeds have taken over.
I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the festivities and are civil.
That’s our culture. Piss you off? Give em a drink or salad or beer and a hug.
Great day all.
Shalom.
al salam alaikum
Be nice if you could spell it properly !!
Be nice if you could correct me
TIC TOC
As it is an Arabic greeting spoken in many different dialects there is no definitive correct English spelling.
The second letter is generally considered to be an “s” and not an “l” as that is how it is pronounced.
Extraneous space too
Hope all the cctv cameras are working to make sure everyone picks up there trash and the tape they conveniently leave on the side walks.
That’s what we pay CoH for, should have had cctv for the $18 million.
Yes money well spent if the CCTV cameras are able to nab those who litter and commit such an egregious offence of putting tape down and not removing it.
How about ticketing those Jay walkers for a court appearance, they are all over the road for miles !!! It’s impossible to get any cars through there . Most of them are wearing running shoes, and all them wearing numbers, so they shouldn’t be hard to find !
Have a wonderful day everyone. Good luck to all the runners, walkers , cyclists, supporters and others.
Parades are for the children.
Other courteous countries the kids are out front, taller behind and adults at the back.
Should be ashamed acting like little spoiled brats
Spent a few minuutes peeling tape yesterday
Libertating! hahaha poo on you!!
I hope people are fined for their vandalism
Whos paying to clean up your tape.
Shameful. And yes seniors do get special attention.
Thr rest of the adults -grow up
You must be “little minded ” people – be proud.
Ya cause i see people cleaning up after themselves here.
Floored people are so childish for a PARADE.
A dislike! HaHa
You must be one of those grown ups who vandalized your city.
Good on you! Be proud !!
Got the spray cans
What is the Corporation of Hamilton going to do about the idiots that applied spray paint to the sidewalk to reserve a space to watch the parade. That is de-facing public property. Total idiots.
