Premier Congratulates Hamilton Princess Hotel
The Premier, Michael Dunkley extended congratulations today to the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club and the Green Family on the official opening of Marcus’ restaurant.
The new restaurant headed by famed chef Marcus Samuelsson opens its doors today, and yesterday Premier Dunkley participated in the Roof Wetting of the new venue where he expressed his “excitement and anticipation” for the latest addition to the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

Premier Dunkley noted, “From the moment the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club announced that famed chef Marcus Samuelsson was opening up a new restaurant in Bermuda, the anticipation and excitement has been incredible.
“Chef Samuelsson has gone to great lengths to ensure that the menu is one that reflects and celebrates our Bermudian culture and cuisine, and I want to commend him for his care and attention in this regard.”
The Premier added, “I must also extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the Green Family, for their commitment to Bermuda… for their commitment to ensuring jobs for Bermudians, and for their commitment to our tourism product. Last evening I had a chance to meet some of the Bermudian staff at the restaurant and I thanked them for being a part of our hospitality industry.”

The Premier also took the opportunity to acknowledge the new refurbishments and upgrades to the property saying, “Andrew and Alexander Green are true innovators and visionaries and Bermuda is very fortunate to have their support.
“Not only have they transformed their venue into something that is competitive with other luxury properties worldwide, but they have managed to create a considerable buzz locally about the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.
“The Greens have invested significantly into the refurbishments and upgrades, which are absolutely stunning. And we consider their bold decisions to be a catalyst towards the reinvention of our tourism product.
“Congratulations to all involved – the Green Family, the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club management and staff, and all of the contractors and construction workers for not only making Marcus’ a reality, but for all they’ve managed to do in making this entire property so amazing.”
