2015 Hiscox Under 11 Celebrity Cricket Results

The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] and Hiscox held the 2015 Hiscox 11&U Celebrity Cricket Festival yesterday [June 7], with the festival designed to celebrate community based 11&under cricket and to raise money for the BCB youth programs.

The 11&Under Skills and Drills Tournament saw Jermal Proctor [Warwick Workmen's CC] named as Most Skillful Player and the Best Overall Fielder, while Sincere Robinson [Bailey's Bay # 1] was named 2nd Overall Fielder and Best Overall Batter, and Najee Edwards [Warwick Workmen's Club] was 3rd Overall Fielder.

The 2nd Overall Batter was David Goonerwardene [PHC Blacks], while Antonio Wade [PHC Blacks] rounded out the category as the 3rd Overall Batter.

Best Overall Bowling went to Jaidyn Paiva [Bailey's Bay #2], while second and third went to Kieron Richardson [Rangers] and Aciram Burgess [CCCC], respectively.

The 11&Under Skills and Drills Tournament saw Bailey’s Bay CC #1 named as the Best Fielding Team, the Best Batting Team, and the Best Bowling Team, while St. David’s CCCC was the Most Skillful Team and St. George’s Prep was the Most Disciplined Team.

The U11 vs Celebrity Team match saw the U11s with 166 off 42 overs and the Celebrities with 152. The celebrity team included Premier Michael Dunkley, Governor Fergusson, Minister of Community, Culture and Sport Patricia Gordon-Pamplin, Mayor of Hamilton Charles Gosling, DJ Chubb and Sherri Berri, DJ Brotha Richie, Sluggo, Bermuda National Team Player Tre Manders, America’s Cup Sailors, Hiscox CEO Jeremy Pinchin, Power Girl and more.

The U11 Player of the Match was Rosie Simmons with 15 runs 2-0-8-1, while the U11 Play of the Game went to Christopher Raymond with a great catch off DJ Chubb]; the U11 Captain was Denniche Hill.

The Celeb Play of the Game was made by Senator Jeff Baron, while the Celeb Player of the Match was Steve Pearce from Watlington and Conyers, with 14 runs 1-0-5-1.

    Great atmosphere at the stadium. Bermuda could use more cultural events such as this!! Lots of fun and sportsmanship of ALL ages
