Video: Highlights Of Nahki Wells’ Season
The official Huddersfield Town website has released a highlight video showcasing Nahki Wells’ impressive play over the season, with the associated article noting that Well’s 14 goals in 31 starts earned him the club’s Golden Boot award.
The article says, “With 14 goals in 31 starts and a further six substitute appearances, the Bermudian forward scooped the Club’s Golden Boot accolade at the end of season Annual Awards – and was also third in the fans’ voting for the Hargreaves Memorial Player of the Year trophy behind Jacob Butterfield and Sean Scannell.
“Wells also contributed four league assists and a club-high average of three shots per game throughout his season, which kicked into life as early as the second game when he netted a hat-trick in the dramatic 5-3 Capital One Cup win at Chesterfield.”
Nahki Wells season highlights:
“His tally last season has taken him to a total of 20 goals for Huddersfield Town in 52 starts and six substitute appearances since making the club record move from Bradford City in January 2014.
“I want to be the best striker in the Championship,” said Wells. “I want to score the most goals in the league and finish as high up the table as possible with Huddersfield.
“I’m a very ambitious player and I’d like to continually get better. We should be looking for a better season, no less than a mid-table finish and perhaps a push for the playoffs.”
