Police Arrest Man Following Court Street Scuffle
[Updated] One man was arrested tonight [June 19] while another suffered minor injuries after a scuffle in the Court Street, Pembroke area.
Police Media Relations spokesperson Robin Simmons said: “Around 9:35pm on Friday, June 19th first responders were dispatched to an incident on Court Street in Pembroke.
“Details are limited at this time; however it appears that a scuffle occurred between two men.
“One of the men involved apparently sustained minor injuries while the other was arrested in connection with the incident.
“Inquiries are underway and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
Update: A police spokesperson said, “Initial information suggested that around 9:35pm Friday, June 19th first responders were dispatched to an incident on Court Street in Pembroke.
“However, it now appears that the incident occurred outside the MoneyShop on Dundonald Street in Pembroke, near the junction with Court Street.
“It seems that a 29 year old Pembroke man apparently sustained injuries to his arms during an earlier scuffle with another man.
“He was initially arrested to prevent any further occurrences after reportedly refusing to leave the premises – then taken to the hospital via ambulance for treatment – and later discharged.”

What, God forbid, the police aren’t allowed on Court Street! It’s off limits. They never intervene on the daily wide open visible activity of drugs and alcohol consumption by the regular crowd or ‘visitors’ outside three ‘shops’by the fence! And their headquarters are so close… only in Bermuda!
