Robbery At Mr. Chicken Express in Devonshire
On Friday evening [July 24] two males — one brandishing a bladed article — gained entry into Mr. Chicken Express in Devonshire and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken; however no employees were injured.
“Around 10:20pm on Friday, July 24th police officers were dispatched to a reported armed robbery at Mr. Chicken Express in Devonshire,” a police spokesperson said.
“It appears that two males, one apparently brandishing a bladed article, gained entry into the premises during closing time and demanded money.
“An undisclosed amount of cash was taken; however no employees were injured. The offenders were described as approximately 6 feet tall of slim build wearing black clothing and black helmets.
“Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the Watlington Road East, Upland Street Devonshire area around 10pm Friday to contact the Criminal Investigations Department on 295-0011.”
Untill the courts actually start handing out the appropriate sentences to the scumbags that commit these types of crimes we can only expect more of them!!! In my opinion those caught and found guilty of these types of crimes should be put on display at the flagpole and whipped until they lose consciousness and then sent to westgate for many, many years, so long in fact they never feel freedom again!!!!

america for exmaple has some of the harshest penalties for crime sand yet it doesnt deter ppl from doing the crimes all it does it make s criminals smarter in doing what they do. if there was rehabilitation instead of incarceration then we would see a change, but until then its gonna be the same old, same old.
America may have harsher penalties than Bermuda, but have you seen their prisons? It’s almost like a resort. For the price of your freedom, you can get an education, free food and water, and now some prisons are getting tablets for inmates to communicate with their friends and family. Bermuda is going down that path too if it hasn’t started already. So why not do these things. The prison system needs to change.
KBB is not the only department that needs to get the trash off the streets.

@ Kangoocar. Wow. Your last sentence is simply mind blowing. Sounds like you long for those ‘good ol days’ from a time long ago in which this happened frequently to a certain race of people. We need to get to the source of the problem to combat these problems. Not utilize cruel and tortuous punitive tactics from a shameful past which, ironically enough, contributed to much of the disenfranchisement, dysfunctionality and criminality we see even today towards this same race of people.

I am noticing a trend in crime reports lately. They no longer mention, or give any indication of ethnicity in the description of the perpetrators. Shouldn’t we be told that they were light skinned, dark skinned, black, white, asian or whatever the case may be? What is the point of a description with this vital information missing? I think that perhaps political correctness has gone a little too far.

I understand where your coming from on that point. However I take robbery of place I am in as direct disrespect to myself. It’s like they saying I’m robbing this place and you can’t do nothing or get slapped. Once they find out your a punk you are going to get rob at your house or on the street by the same person.
