Gardner Sentenced: Murder Of Malcolm Augustus

July 28, 2015

GARDENER-WOLDeWolda Gardner has been sentenced to life in prison for the premeditated murder of Malcolm Augustus, and as it is the second murder he has been convicted of, he will have to serve 45 years before being eligible for parole.

Mr Augustus, 20, was shot and killed on the St George’s golf course just after midnight on Christmas Day in 2012.

Gardner is already serving a life sentence for the murder of George Lynch, who was shot and killed while standing outside a Midland Heights Crescent, Hamilton Parish home in May 2010.

The two sentences combined mean Gardner will have to serve 45 years before he is eligible for parole.

Now in his mid 30s, he will be close to 80 years old when he is eligible for parole.
