Education Awards: Chelsea Ray, Keizhari Knight
As the doors to the Bermuda College open for a new academic year, Sigma Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated said they are honoured to have been able to assist two outstanding young Bermudian ladies through the presentation of financial awards.
The Geraldine Lambert Post-Secondary Education Award was given to Berkeley Institute graduate Chelsea Ray. Miss Ray is pursuing an Associate of Business Administration at Bermuda College and is working towards a career in Entertainment Management.
The Dr. Norma Hendrickson Post Secondary Education Award was given to CedarBridge Academy graduate Keizhari Knight. Miss Knight is pursuing an Associate of Science in Nursing at Bermuda College as she works towards her Doctorate in Nursing.
“After twenty-five years of service to the Bermuda community, Sigma Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha continues its commitment to help students finance their educational expenses while they attend The Bermuda College,” a spokesperson said.
“It is with pleasure that the ladies of Sigma Xi Omega Chapter, along with our Scholarship Selection Committee – Necheeka L. Trott, Chair, Emilygail Dill, Deborah Jones Hunter and Sakhile Richards – wish both of these young ladies all the best in their future educational endeavors.”
