Dark ‘n’ Stormy Makes Top 50 Cocktail List

Gosling’s world-renowned Dark ‘n’ Stormy has earned itself an international distinction, ranking at number 11 on Drinks International’s list of the world’s top 50 selling cocktails, with the Rum Swizzle getting an honourable mention, as well.

The Drinks International article says, “Bermuda ahoy! The Dark ’n’ Stormy is what you are most likely to drink in Bermuda [that and the Rum Swizzle] and the 11th most likely classic at The World’s 50 Best Bars.

“The history of rum is never far away from seafarers and the Dark ’n’ Stormy is no different. To cut a story’s length, British colonialists brought the ginger beer, Gosling’s brought the rum. Add a bit of lime, and there you have it, the Dark ‘n’ Stormy – worthy of any bloke with a beard and tatts, on or off land.”

The Dark ‘n’ Stormy is made with 2oz of Gosling’s Black Seal rum, mixed with ginger beer. Known along with the Rum Swizzle as “Bermuda’s national drink”, the Dark ‘n’ Stormy is served internationally, growing in popularity in places including the United States and Australia.
