Marcus Samuelsson To Host Live Cooking Demo

September 2, 2015

Marcus Samuelsson fans in Bermuda can watch the celebrity chef cook live at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club at 2pm on Friday, September 11.

The Fairmont-managed hotel today [Sept 2] announces that tickets are now on sale for the cooking demonstration that will take place on the patio outside of Marcus’ overlooking the hotel’s marina. Tickets are $50 for adults and $15 for children aged 12 years and under.

During the child-friendly demo, Marcus Samuelsson will prepare two of the menu items from his new Lunch Menu. Ticket holders at the private event will enjoy a taste of these creative interpretations of traditional dishes. All attendees will receive menu cards of the dishes that are personally signed by Chef Samuelsson.

“The first three months following the opening of Marcus’ has been incredible, with an amazing outpour of support from the community,” said Marcus Samuelsson.

“I love seeing people enjoying our food in this beautiful space, and even stopping by for drinks at the bar. Since we open for lunch on September 8, I thought it would be fun to lead a cooking demonstration and show food enthusiasts how to make the perfect end-of-summer dishes, straight from our new lunch menu.”

“Bringing a celebrity restaurant to Bermuda is exciting, but it is just the beginning of our association with Marcus Samuelsson,” said Allan Federer, general manager, Hamilton Princess & Beach Club.

“Chef Samuelsson’s involvement with Marcus’ is ongoing, beyond the restaurant’s launch. His upcoming cooking demonstration is just one of the ways in which Samuelsson continues to commit his time, passion and expertise to Marcus’ and the community.”

Try Cable Channel 33 for that boo. For $50 I might as well go there and sit down and be served a full meal and enjoy the view.
