St. Paul AME Church Anniversary Celebrations
St Paul AME Church is getting its 145th anniversary celebrations underway today [Sept 23], running through September 27, with the scheduled events to include a concert, forum, presentations, worship, and more.
The celebration gets underway today with a lunchtime concert featuring students and young artists, held at the Sanctuary at 12.30pm.
At 7.30pm this evening, an Anniversary Forum will be held at Centennial Hall titled ‘Church and State – Politics, Preachers & Politicians,’ with a panel discussion with audience participation. Confirmed panelists for the forum include Rev. Nicholas Tweed, Bishop Nick Dill, Mr. Wayne Furbert, Mr. Chris Furbert, and MP Leah Scott.
On Friday, September 25, a Seniors Lunch and Learn will be held at Centennial Hall, with presentations from Aging and Disabled Services, the Health Insurance Department, and Age Concern from 12.00pm through 2.00pm.
On Sunday, September 27, the celebration will conclude with Family and Friends Sunday at 10.55am, with the public invited to bring their family for worship.
