Over 400 Performers For 2015 Bermuda Tattoo

Over 400 local and international performers descended onto Warwick Camp this weekend in preparation for the 2015 Bermuda Tattoo, which is the signature event of the Royal Bermuda Regiment’s year-long 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Musicians and dancers from fourteen military and civilian bands will spend the week working and rehearsing together, culminating in the Tattoo itself which will be held over 3 nights this week; Thursday, October 22; Friday, October 23, and; Saturday, October 24.

The Tattoo will feature the groups below from the United Kingdom:

  • 19 Regiment Royal Artillery Pipes and Drums;
  • The Waterloo Band of the Rifles;
  • 3rd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland Pipes and Drums [the Black Watch], and;
  • The Band and Corps of Drums of the Royal Logistic Corps.

From the United States of America:

  • The United States Marine Corps 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band.

From Canada:

  • The Regimental Band of the Governor General’s Foot Guards;
  • The Pipes and Drums of The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa;
  • The Schiehallion Dancers;
  • Toronto Police Pipe Band, and;
  • 36 Halifax Pipes and Drums.

From the Caribbean:

  • The Bands of the Jamaica Defence Force.

The above international acts will be hosted by the Tattoo’s Bermuda contingent, comprised of:

  • The Band and Corps of Drums of the Bermuda Regiment;
  • The Bermuda Islands Pipe Band;
  • The Bermuda Tattoo Choir [a specially assembled gentlemen’s chorus under the direction of Lloyd Mathew].
